Interesting statements from Google Employee Jen Gennai

Anonymous
Jen Gennai ,Google employee and Head of Responsible Innovation:

“Elizabeth Warren is saying we should break up Google. And like, I love her but she’s very misguided, like that will not make it better it will make it worse, because all these smaller companies who don’t have the same resources that we do will be charged with preventing the next Trump situation, it’s like a small company cannot do that.”

“We all got screwed over in 2016, again it wasn’t just us, it was, the people got screwed over, the news media got screwed over, like, everybody got screwed over so we’re rapidly been like, what happened there and how do we prevent it from happening again.”
“We’re also training our algorithms, like, if 2016 happened again, would we have, would the outcome be different?”

Google executive Jen Gennai responded to the video: “I was having a casual chat with someone at a restaurant and used some imprecise language. Project Veritas got me. Well done.” So she does admit saying what she said.

Congressman Louie Gohmert:  “Google should not be deciding whether content is important or trivial and they most assuredly should not be meddling in our election process. They need their immunity stripped…”

And before anyone brings up 'free market', a search engine should be neutral, i.e. people enter data and they get results. When a company starts manipulating results, they have crossed the line into opinion media and should be broken up/regulated. Warren is right in this regard.

google is removing the video as much and quickly as possible as are other media platforms.

Too late. We saw it. We know. We already suspected, but now we are sure.

The removal itself is evidence of truth. Given Gennai admitted it? All they can do now is try damage control.

The BBC aired a debate last year in the UK between Google, Facebook and a privacy advocate. It was remarkable.

But then people can use bots to exploit algorithms with false data to generate misleading results. Some oversight by the company is needed to prevent this.
