Infants, Toddlers, & Preschoolers
| Has anyone been part of a PACE group for 2nd time moms? I read about it recently and believe it's a new thing PACE is doing. The group only meets 3 times for a couple of hours...wondering if it would be worthwhile. I'm really wondering how our toddler is going to transition with the new baby. (I said to husband last night, soon we'll no longer be 'three', and there's no turning back!) Never did a PACE group, so I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts on this "2nd time mom" group idea. Thanks! |
| I didn't find it to be very useful at all. Buy a couple books instead and save yourself the money. |
Ditto. I don't think it was worth the cost. |
| I didn't do the 2nd time PACE group although I tried to sign up. My 2nd was nearing 6 months by the time the session was starting so they told me I wouldn't fit into the group. This made no sense to me because my main interest was sibling rivalry. That certainly lasts past the first six months. The benefit though may be to make connections with other moms. |
| OP Here: Thanks for sharing your experiences... |

I'm very interested in this for the summer. However I left them a message a few months ago and never heard anything back. Can anyone recommend the best number to call or a contact name? Specifically for Bethesda area?
Many thanks. |

To PP: I read about the 2nd time group on the PACE website: www.pacemoms.org
You should call again if it's something you want to do. I've decided it's not for me. |
| I did it too and didn't find it useful at all. Wasn't long enough and after three meetings, everyone went back to their busy lives. We could never find time to keep in touch. |
