Are there any millenials who think tattoos are trashy?

Anonymous
I'm a generation Xer ('72) who has always thought tattoos were somewhat dumb and/or trashy although I know plenty of people my age who have them that are neither dumb nor trashy. I'm wondering if this attitude exists among millenials at all or are they all totally on board with tattoos?

I know, but is it common for millenials to think this way? If you are a millenials, do most of the millenials you know have tattoos?

Why does this matter?

Starting in 1981, tattoos were standard issue to babies upon leaving the maternity ward. We all have them.

At 43 I sometimes feel like I am the youngest person without a tattoo. There’s like this dividing line and Whoosh they became routine. Not judging it, more of an observation.

I'm a millenial and I would never ever get a tattoo. I know a few people who have tattoos who are not trashy

My DD is a Millennial. Neither she nor her close friends have tattoos. But they don’t think it’s trashy. I think it’s more a fear of commitment and what it will look like in aged skin. They rent everything, LOL, even clothes!

I’m a year older than you, but I don’t think that although I don’t have tattoos. My parents raised me to not make sweeping judgments about appearances.

I am an older non-white millennial (34) and I am worried about the white people in general. The gross tattoos, voting for Trump, dying en masse from Opioids, in debt up to their eyeballs. It’s not a good look.

I am a 38 year old white male and I agree with this assessment.

I’m a millennial and I don’t like them, nor do I have one.

My millennial kids don’t like them. Not sure if they think they are trashy.
