| So the ivy leagues do not do the transfer portal or fifth years? Why is this important factor? |
|
I'm beginning to believe the AI typing accusation....buffet? last week's laundry? strutted their stuff? |
is this really how you sound or is it AI as was suggested? hoping the latter |
to be clear...this is not your typical "Capital" magnet...actual government issued tags....that is some serious passion |
The much, much larger factor is there are better players up and down those rosters. So players go where there is their own balance between possible playing time and all the other factors, including academics. |
|
So now your jealous of how someone writes and where their kid will play lax? You gotta take a break from here! You need to detox from this forum and take a big deep breath and a big break. |
Then your rant should be directed at those trolls and jealous haters who keep posting that the team could go to all the best teams in the country if they wanted. Because that's what trolls and haters always say. |

I thought we would not need this again today, but we do!
A friendly PSA reminder---- https://www.facebook.com/...tid=K35XfP I copied this from the above link. It is a very healthy approach. Only a measly 3% of high school lacrosse players actually make it to play Division 1 in college. Seriously, let that sink in before you start tearing apart a family's choice or a player's decision to attend a particular school! “You have to remember that everyone is coming from a different spot. Some folks will use the recruiting process to get into the best academic school possible, regardless of the money involved. For others, the main focus is lowering the cost of college as much as possible. Some families are focused on playing for the "best" lacrosse program they can play for. All these decisions are fine as long as they meet the family's needs. Trying to put your priorities onto other families' choices just doesn't make sense since everyone is coming from a slightly different place.” |

It really all goes back to what we have been saying from the beginning different choices for different families.
some people can't believe anyone would pass up a top ranked lax program for a low ranked ivy some people can't believe anyone would pass up a D1 program for a high academic D3 some people want to go to the program that can get them the lowest cost everyone has different priorities - the issue is truly that it is very difficult to be in someone else's shoes congrats to everyone and yet again for those of us 26 parents that are still looking for the right fit - "comparison is the thief of joy" |
