Anyone need to use it? Was it easy? We are planning on doing a road trip on an old car. If we have problems (I know we have had towing coverage from the beginning) they would tow away for free. I am guessing no coverage for rental vehicle due to disablement.
Basically I have been paying $40 a year for 20 yrs in the event I require towing. Doesn't seem very valuable. Anyone not have this coverage? It says Emergency Road Service (ERS) coverage pays: for towing of a disabled auto to the nearest place for repairs for mechanical labor up to one hour at the place of breakdown; and for lockout service, up to $100 per lockout. ERS does not pay for parts or subsequent repair costs and there is a limit of one reimbursement per disablement. |

Not OP. I have been wondering too if it’s worth the extra $35-$40 every year after year.
I pay for this, too, but the one time I needed it Geico left me hanging for hours in the heat with a newborn. I still have it, but don’t feel confident in it.
It’s not worth it. I had a very bad experience and removed it.
One towing expense and you will see how paying for this addition helps
