Earphones always hurt my ears!

Anonymous
Does anyone else have this problem? I think my ears must be weirdly small or something. They always ache when I use in-ear headphones and then always pop out and won't stay when I am running or walking. The foam padding helps some but I can't get them to fit on the new apple earphones. Does anyone have a solution they have found works? Or am I the only weirdo with little ears? Drives me crazy.

I can’t wear regular earbuds. Same problem. I did get a pair of earbuds for small ears for running, and they were tolerable but not comfortable.

Same! I'm female and am petite if it matters. I have a lot of ear pain after trying to wear earphones. I just stopped.

I use over the ear headphones like Beats.

OP here - Even while working out?

I have the same problem. For a long time I used a great pair that wrapped around the back of the ear and the buds were a thin rubbery material which came in 3 sizes. Look for ones that wrap around the ear. Have you tried AirPods? They are expensive, but I love them. I haven’t tried running with them, but I walk around a ton with them.

No I didn't want to spend the $$ only to find out they hurt like every other pair I have tried. I will give them a go if you think they worked for you though!

Maybe an Apple store will have a pair to try?

I have the same problem. For just listening I use over-the-ear earphones, but for working out I use ones that hook around the ear, like these: https://www.amazon.com/Koss-KSC32M-Fitclips-Headphones-Mint/dp/B00DE8DB8S. I also like ones that have multiple sets of buds in different sizes, so I can use the smallest ones.

Maybe try cozyphones? They're the headband style ones that you see kids wear, but I think they make not-cutsey adult size ones too. Only thing is not good for every hairstyle.

Yep- they do hurt!! I was wondering why nobody complained about this.
