After apple, Huawei is the biggest provider of mobile devices in the world and wants to tap in the US market. Thanks to this they cannot and that is a good thing. The Chinese use this to spy, and furthermore this should tip the scales in our favor

| Looks like Samir Jain is a pretty bad lobbyist. (His wife is Chinese). |

The spying is mostly an excuse to just lock Huawei out of the US market. Where do you think the iPhone is made?
This is just more economic pressure on China to play ball on tariffs. |
LOL, it's not like they've never found Huawei to provide backdoors on their equipment. It's not like China doesn't have an actual law that mandates private businesses to assist China's intelligence agencies upon request. It's not like China has not demonstrated they have used their control over large companies like WeChat to gather data and implement the will of the communist government. Why don't Trump make similar demands on Ericsson's equipment? Why isn't Trump vocal about T-Mobile operating in the US? |

Hm, so what some are saying here is because we already have the potential for the Chinese to spy using the products currently used here, we should add MORE products that could be used to spy on us. Seems like a solid plan.

| WhatsApp is is as much, or more damning than anything Huawei has done. |
| I think it's a good thing. And I hate Trump. |
|
It's a great thing.
Somebody should tell Joe Biden and get his opinion on the matter. |
| Huawei has been persona non grata in the US market for years, in particular the Federal market. This isn't a Trump thing. |
From OP's link: Mr Trump has already signed a bill barring the US government from using Huawei's telecoms equipment, but the latest order would widen this out to all US companies. Estimates suggest around a fifth of rural carriers in the US use either equipment made by Huawei or, another Chinese company, ZTE, although many of their larger telecoms companies have already cut ties. |
How’s the weather in Beijing? The Chinese internet trolls are out I see |
He’s too busy making shady deals with them |
Yeah no. You clearly don’t get it. At all. |
This. |
Why doesn't he? Every vendor has backdoors in their equipment. China is being punished for not being "cooperative". |
