I’m doing Keto, and I’m going to set up an apt to get my levels checked. Any other Keto followers with great cholesterol levels? Or not so great levels?
|
| Mine were good at last check. I feel great! |
|
I doubt levels are raised too much in the short term, but none of the veto fanatics are going to admit their diet is unhealthy in the long term.
They are eating the same foods that make many fat people unhealthy, but because they are not fat, somehow their blood pressure and cholesterol and colon health are spared. delusional. |
Actually I eat pretty healthy on Keto. Bone broth, leafy greens, poultry or fish most nights with beef or pork 1 night. Olives, eggs, raw pecans, some cheese. Mostly whole foods with a few snacks like Whisps. Cholesterol levels look fine after 6 months which really doesn't surprise me at all because I feel really good. |
| My overall was high, but it was all in the good number category. Still, I wasn't happy about it. |
|
Mine went down on keto.
I still would not do keto again, though. The muscle loss was too much for me. |
| Keto diet is a kidney killer. NEVER! |
|
An excessive amount of ketones in the blood is called ketosis. When the kidneys filter ketones into the urine, the condition is called ketonuria and can be detected by urine ketone tests. If enough ketones accumulate in the blood, they can cause a potentially life-threatening chemical imbalance known as ketoacidosis.

Dietary ketosis is not the same thing as ketoacidosis. Avoiding processed junk is not going to send you to the hospital. And, no, you don't need rice, bread and pasta to survive although you might very much want those foods. You can eat like crap on any diet. If I choose to eat pork rinds and nacho cheese sauce every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner because it's "Keto friendly" that would not be healthy. Likewise, if you call yourself a "vegetarian" and eat nothing but potato chips and soda pop that would not be a healthy diet. |

I'm pescatarian, no dairy keto and I'm sure my levels are great. I don't eat any junk food on keto. My diet is MUCH HEALTHIER now than it has ever been.
|
+1. I eat almost no processed foods. I’m not eating buffalo wings and bacon at every meal. Lots of vegetables, berries, good fats like avocado, olive oil, coconut milk. I limit dairy and can’t have gluten. |
Jesus Christ, how stupid can you be? |
|
OP here! Thank you for all of your insight! I have been doing Keto for almost 5 months, and was curious about cholesterol levels. I’ll report back after I get mine checked. I mentally feel great, and feel great physically just want to make sure my insides are inline with the way I feel outside.
