ear piercing infection

I'm looking to see if anyone else has had their daughter's ear get really infected from an ear piercing?

Mine did. It's okay. Just keep twisting it and pouring the solution in there. Your body will fight the infection. Mine got infected and red and had puss.

Ummm no. She could be allergic to the metal in the earring.

DD has to have nickel free ones or they cause a lot of irritation. If she starts to have issues I put her initial ones on her because they are gold plated. We had to also use the earring backs that were very wide otherwise the smaller ones would start to dig in! One was starting to disappear in there and it wasn't even on tight. I think the mixture of sleeping on one side coupled with soft tissue caused the problem.

If you went to the doctor to get it checked out...I'm looking to compare what they did.
