What’s your favorite car feature?

We are in the process of researching new cars. We are driving our old cars into the ground, so we don’t have many fancy features to know what’s worth it.

I’m curious what your absolute favorite features are in your newer cars. Which features would you have a hard time giving up now that you have them.

The headphones my kids wear so they don't bicker and I can't hear the video they're watching.

Have always driven older cars into the ground and we just got a newer car. The backup camera is AMAZING. Love it. Nothing else is noteworthy.

Back up camera. I'm not sure how I ever lived without it.

Each time I drive an older car without it, I go clammy when I'm reversing.

360 camera.

Remote start that will turn the a/c or heater on. My car is a 2004 model, and I don't have this, but my spouse's car does. I definitely want this in my next car. Deal breaker for me. Being able to turn the a/c remotely in the summer before I get to my car would be awesome.

I would agree with back up camera. If I drive my husband's car now, which doesn't have one, I feel semi-blind.

The ability to remotely cool it off in hot weather. Heating it in cold weather is nice, too, but not nearly as much as being able to step into a cool car rather than a sauna.

Heated seats
Backup camera, especially if it's a larger car
Bluetooth for my phone, including the ability to connect Google Maps and have turn-by-turn directions play over the car speakers

And here's a weird one that many (new and old) cars don't have, which drives me crazy: rear windshield wiper! A lot of cars rely on the embedded heating strips in the rear window, which just doesn't do the job when it's time to back into/out-of my driveway and it's raining. I want a wiper!

And automatic start.

I won’t ever be able to get a car that doesn’t have push button start and touch the handle to lock the car. I literally never have to see my keys.

My car does not have all the fancy stuff but it has

Bluetooth

CD player (old tech but I still use it all the time)

Backup camera, I wish I had a front camera too for parking

Also my car will beep if it is in reverse and another car comes behind me.

Blind spot feature -- I have a chronic illness that makes turning my head almost impossible (without pain, that is). This plus the cameras and 'beeps' to alert me to moving vehicles, pedestrians, etc. make me a lot less tense as a driver. (I still check everything but that added security literally takes a load off my shoulders.)
