| Any recommendations for a non wifi security system? I dont like the idea of it all being connected, I basically want something that has senors and a keypad for a code, and a super freakin loud alarm, but no other bells/whistles. It's been surprisingly hard to find something that isnt a smart system. |

| Simplisafe if you don't pay for monitoring. It annoyingly "warns" me that it can't contact the dispatch center. No kidding! |

The Ring alarm system is pretty similar except for the wifi part. How else will the sensors notify the base if it does not have wi-fi (seriously, I don't know)? |

| Wireless sensors use zigbee or other low power radio methods to communicate to the base. WiFi is used by the bases for monitoring. The sensors don’t connect to your WiFi (it’s too power hungry and would cause you to be constantly swapping batteries). |
