shampoo

This is up there with one of my dumber parenting questions (i.e., the stakes are quite low and I shouldn't really need to crowd source) but...

When did you switch from baby shampoos and do what? I have 4.5 year old twins both with full heads of hair. The bath daily but I am trying to wash my daughters thick shoulder length hair every other day because it gets a bit fly away around her face if I wash to often.

Anyway, because my son it itchy often I've stuck with baby shampoos. That seems fine for him but she has at least double my head of hair and I think might do better (fewer tangles? less dry?) with "adult" shampoo.

When did you switch and what seems to work well with hair that is still very fine but also lots and lots of it?

Sorry for the terrible grammar. "Too often" etc.

My DDs hair was too thick for baby shampoos starting at about 2.5.

We both have extremely sensitive skin (I get itchy if I even see a dryer sheet commercial on TV).

I use Free and Clear shampoo and conditioner for DD and it works really well. The conditioner really helps tame fly-aways, and the formula is gentle enough that she doesn't get itchy.

It's by the same makers of Vanicream.

I think I stopped using baby shampoo around three. It wasn't conditioning enough. We use the Suave Kids Purely Fun shampoo/conditioner and a regular leave-in conditioner afterwards.

Do you use conditioner? I still use Honest shampoo and body wash on my two kids (3 and 5) but about a year ago I started using "adult" conditioner on them, particularly for the younger one who has more coarse and dry hair. I use Aveeno Active naturals conditioner.
