Nook is just as expensive as Badlands and I am wondering if it is worth it. We have not been but we are interested to at least check it out. |
We have been big fans of Nook since it opened in Arlington and the new location at Ballston is great however its definitely for a younger crowd, I would say under 3s. |
I think it's incredibly overpriced for what it is. For two kids, I can't justify the price (and we have a mid six figure combined income, so I assume we are their target market). I'd rather go to one of the jumping places-- that's at least more novel than the same train table or play kitchen we have at home, or at a friend's house on a play date. |
I agree. The price and capacity increase will be their downfall. |
And that there's NOTHING for older kids to do. I'd love to bring my 3 year old and 6 year old but my 6 year old would be bored out of her mind. She can at least play - even if she's not the target age - at other kids play spaces. |
Just curious what is a “mid six figure combined income”. Does that mean 150k or 500k? |
Your older kid could color or do a craft actually. But I agree, it's more for babies/young toddlers. |
I'm not that poster, but that sounds like she means 500K |
We went once and had to wait 90 minutes because we didn't have a reservation. When we finally got in, it was a let down for the cost. We have not been back. |
It's like a kid's play space you'd find in a Stanley Kubrick movie. It's fine, but overpriced. |
Like... The Shining? Or... Lolita? ![]() |
Or Dr. Strangelove? Is there a war room? I need deets, PP! |
Lol. More like 2001: A Space Odyssey |
Phew. At long as it's not Eyes Wide Shut. |
You know, I can picture Tom and Nicole walking by a Nook playspace in Eyes Wide Shut and having it blend in with the story. |
