Why oh why do moms call their daughters mini me? Can you imagine how that would feel if your mom called you this?
I don’t get it |
Never heard this. Ever. |
I've never heard this either. (And it would be especially weird considering Mini Me from the Austin Powers movies was male.) |
I have several friends whose kids really do look like a mini version of their parent. That's what I always thought "mini me" was referring to.
One of my friends has twin daughters who are both her "mini me." So cute! |
I think this is fine when they are pre-schoolers but not when they are older. My 3 year old granddaughter is a clone of her mother....which is a problem her mother will have to deal with! |
I dont call my daughter this, but other people have called her that, because in many ways she is a smaller version of me, both in looks and personality. She loves it, because she loves me. |
I always thought I was better, but at 36, I am totally just like both my parents. |
It's not worth the effort trying to figure out why people do most of the things they do. Nod, smile, and pour yourself another drink. |
You don't have to get it. It's just something that some people say. |
Nope, never heard this before and we have a lot of friends with multiple kids |
I think its extremely offensive. And body shaming is a form of discrimination, you know. |
I generally try not to say it myself bc I think that’s a little weird but I don’t mind at all when other people say it to me about DD! I like it. |
Please say this to me about my daughter. She looks 100% exactly like me. |

Wasn’t there just a thread on this?
Ignore if you don’t like it. My DD is a mini me. She is a perfect mix of her father and his mother in so many ways. Is that okay to comment on? |
