Cost of downpout underground drainage pipe?

Anonymous
I'd like to you the appropriate cost of running solid black corrugated pipe underground for downspout drainage. This is in Bethesda. A linear foot cost would be particularly helpful. Anyone BTDT lately? Did your landscaper do it, or did you work with a drainage specialist? Thanks.

About $15-$20 a linear foot plus $150 per pop-up drain (or similar termination drain) for each downspout extended. About $1500 minimum for the job. A bit more if it requires trenching through any roots, tunneling under or through any sidewalks.

We paid about $800 for 2 downspouts

dont use corrugated pipe. if for some reason the pipe ever gets blocked up. the rotorooter equipment doesn't really like the corrugations. the pipe gets chewed up.

use solid sewer pipe if at all possible.

Ours was in this range (I think around $1200) and included 2 pop up drains. The company pouring our driveway actually did it after pulling up the old driveway and before putting down the new. It needed to be done anyway, but his particular concern was avoiding a drainage flow over the new circle drive that would eventually discolor it.

RUN away from any company that suggests burying your downspouts using corrugated black pipe - there is smooth (not corrugated) pipe specifically designed for this purpose which can be easily cleared with a pipe snack if blockages occur. Also insist that they install a Y cleanout at the point where the pipe goes into the ground by your house. Look at this for proper method (I do NOT work there, and I am not recommending this company) https://www.drainageanderosion.com/services/downspout-extensions/

This is what happened to our corrugated pipe when tree roots blocked it. Replaced with solid pipe having a suitable diameter.
