Appropriate age for Facebook account?

| You can wait until 13 - your kid won't even want one then -- I have two teens - one doesn't have a facebook account (he's 14). My 17 year old has one to participate in a group that uses facebook but he only uses it for that -they all use instagram or snapchat or whatever -facebook is for us adults! |

Lots of college students still have Facebook accounts for groups. They use it for group projects or club activities.
Forpersonal pages, they use instagram and snapchat. |

I had to check the date stamp to see if I wrote this! My teen nephews told me the same thing. None of their friends are on it. It’s like MySpace to them
