S/o of toddler shampoo and conditioner thread -- what to use for DD's curly hair?

Anonymous
Straight-haired me is totally flummoxed.

DD (4) has curly hair. Her individual hairs are very fine and soft, and her curls, from what I can see when some of them are fixed properly, should be forming small ringlets. But whatever I'm doing is mostly turning them into a frizzy mess.

Any recommendations for shampoo or conditioner? Or how to style them?

Same op as before thread. Use adult gentle shampoo. Leave in conditioner. Comb out afternwitj a wide comb. Fairy tales detanglernin the morning and a wide comb as well. Key to curls is to not brush them dry. We also only wash hair a couple times a week or if she gets food in it.
I bought some nice sandalwood toddler combs on amazon and they add shine without frizz.

I recommend the wet brush.

I use this after washing, and agree on a wide-toothed comb and not brushing dry.

Coconut oil

But only a minuscule amount. It works wonders.

Same body wash for hair. Coconut oil for conditioner.

Deva Curl products or Aussie Moist products are great for curly hair. Try out she’s moisture or Deca Curl leave in for after washing to help define curls. Braid it befor ebed so that it doesn’t get frizzy and matted when sleeping. Rewet in the morning to style. Good luck!

No combs or brushes for a curly girl! Yes, as PP, Deva "No-Poo" and "One Condition." I know she's a toddler, but one time spend the money and go to a salon with a hairdresser trained in the Deva method and ask them to teach you how to take care of DD's hair.

Oasis in Rockville, Fiddlehead Ferns in DC. Sorry, don't have any recommendations in Virginia.

Do not brush her hair ever. Ever. If you comb, do it with a wide tooth comb or your fingers. I use Pantene conditioner on my daughter’s (and mine) curly hair. I drank the Devacurl koolaid for a while but it was too time consuming and the products were no better for my curls than Pantene. Clip it up while she sleeps or use a satin pillowcase or cap.

My 3 year old has wavy hair that turns into a straight/frizzy mess. It's very fine and thin, so I'm worried acute print coconut oil or other heavy products. I think I need a good conditioner and styling product. Any recommendations or suggestions?

*Acute print = about using. Thanks autocorrect!

I'm obsessed with Shea Moisture! It's great on my hair and works well on DD too. (I'm white with type 2C hair). I get so many compliments after I switched to this. It comes in a big tub and is in the ethnic section of Walmart/Target.

Also, I often use a spray bottle of salt water on DD's hair after I brush it (it does need brushed in the morning if she showers at night). That helps reset the frizz.

No shampoo, finger combing only, Deva products and find a Deva haircutter. I ended up learning how to cut it myself until DD was about 10, then I went to professionals.
