Just retrieved ONE yes one egg from a traditional IVF cycle

Not a happy camper. Yes, one is better than none. But WTF about the other follicles being "empty"???

Which clinic are you working with? How many did they say you had going into retrieval?

What was your estrogen count?

Kind of low no? I’m in a cycle now that’s 300 follistim, 225 Menopur but went up to 300 Menopur.

Your AFC sounds really low so I'm surprised they kept you on such low doses of stims. Did you take birth control pills before stimming?

How old are you? That AFC is pretty low, are you DOR?

DOR usually doesn't respond well. FWIW, I only had one egg retrieved, and he's 5 now. It can work.

no i didnt. their thought was i didnt perform much better on high stims (300 gonal 150 menopur yielded 3 eggs) so why make me spend more on meds if i'm not a great responder

I am 35 and my only diagnosis is DOR. Tubes fine, husband fine, everything else fine as far as we know. I get the feeling my RE thinks it's the end of the road for me.

Did you do a 5day transfer or a 3 day? Congrats!!

I did natural cycle IVF, and I'm pretty sure it was 3 day which they had just changed to fairly recently at that point. I think I remember him saying that they weren't finding better results from 5d vs. 3d so they decided to change everything to 3d. Good luck. I did do ICSI and assisted hatching, and I think my egg shells were "hard" and not able to naturally be penetrated by sperm. I think that was why I couldn't get pregnant on my own and why the NC IVF worked. Good luck!

Same thing happened to me. 8 follicles, one egg in the end. No luck that cycle.

If it makes you feel better, I got pregnant on my own a couple months after that, waiting to start my third ivf cycle. And went on to have a second child when the first was 18 months. All of this was in my 40's. Hugs and I'm wishing and praying for the best for you.
