Uh, the school board did not write YOUR link. Your don’t seem well. |
"Your" (aka you) seem dumb. Just want to use "your" vernacular to not offend in this day in age. The article cited MCPS officials. During Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting, Donald Connelly, the capital budget and projects manager for MCPS, told board members that the number of live births in Montgomery County has been dropping. Yes it's less live births! Not people fleeing for private schools and other jurisdictions. |
You don’t seem well either. |
Sometimes I think the lady doth protests too much. You could’ve just left it with the fact that people generally self-segregate into similar socioeconomic groups instead of trying to take a swipe at Whitman with your weird virtue signaling. Fun fact. It’s not some badge of honor to live in a poor or lower class area and your kind of attitude usually gets met with an eye roll. |
| I’m also of the mind that the DCC people claiming “we could have purchased elsewhere! But also we want our school to change to accommodate us!” seem very Nice White Parents. |
Huh? I don't see any DCC parents asking their school to change. Most prefer the status quo. Some do want additional courses added. The Superintendent is proposing changing the DCC schools much more dramatically. |
Wait, in order to not "virtue signal" I have to be striving to live somewhere other than where I currently live? I can't just be happy where I am? |
DP but DCC posters definitely do not seem happy with the schools, often saying they do not offer the same rigor of coursework. That’s even before any of these changes. |
|
Consider the Einstein MVC poster, for example. They do not seem happy. |
| +1. And they want us to believe their financial constraints are preferences rather than an ego justification. |
|
DCC - if you don't like it, you can move. You claim to have the resources as much as WJ, Whitman etc but have "different priorities". (Eye roll)
I'm current WJ - if I don't like the boundary study result, I will move. Or go private. |
It’s clear you’re not happy or satisfied when you need to try to make downward comparisons to wealthier area. |
GMAFB, everyone who paid a premium to get their kids into a W school was making a downward comparison to other schools. I attended Whitman and wanted a different environment for my child. We all make choices based on what we think is best for our kids. Sorry my choice makes you feel insecure about your choice. |
Lots of parents zoned for Whitman send their kids to private. This must mean Whitman is a terrible school! |
