Not at all what was meant - meant need to be verified publicly and many times people post committs before truly public. No school is beneath any club or player as long as it is the right fit for the player! Congratulations to the player! Fabulous school! |

. In general thats the message this commit list kind of gives though. Iām sure itās not intended but look how the schools are listed - more āprestigiousā schools put to towards the top of each list even if the commit happened later. And DI and DIIs are specially noted like an asterisk. |

Exactly, I am the OP that asked about verifying Cap Blue to Mt St marys as i think it was a honest mistake someone confused that with the Skywalkers blue commit. People need to lighten up here. |

No they definitely arenāt and it doesnāt have to be changed - but there is a perception thatās created and it related to another comment. Thats all I was saying. I know people appreciate seeing the list either way. |

. It is important for people to see ALL the wonderful DII and DIII commitments as well as D1. There are a lot of them, and notating these D2 and D3 commitments has real value. This is especially crucial for all the parents who are convinced their player is destined for a top 40 D1 lax program, when the odds, year after year, show how incredibly difficult that is to accomplish. So many parents and players have unrealistic expectations and fail to cast a wide enough net because they don't see the full spectrum of excellent opportunities especially at the DII and DIII level. The only asterisks I see are for goalies, and that's because goalies are special. There are so few spots, and recruiting for a goalies is on a completely different level. My intention in highlighting the differences between divisions is to provide information and realityāthe opposite of something bad or beneath. And yes, you are right that sometimes a highly-ranked school commitment is added to the top of a list even if the commitment came later than a DII or DIII. Naturally, a top/prestigious school in the country is going to be listed at the top. It is a list. If that bothers you, I don't know what to tell you. |

There are like 2-3 peeps updating the list so donāt sweat the order and just be happy that your player even made these lists at all.
Just over 12% of high school lacrosse players go on to play women's college lacrosse. Of these, over 5% play for NCAA Division 3 programs, 3% play for Division 1 programs, and 2% play for Division 2 programs. |

As a parent who has been down this road with my DC, this is a very accurate take on the current recruiting situation. Itās shocking the caliber of players who were once recruited D1. With decreased roster sizes, NIL transfer mess, and COVID 5th year consequences, schools are being much more selective. You canāt compare a 2022-2025 recruits to current recruits. There are top 50, 2023 recruits who still havenāt seen the field in college. Your child needs to decide if they want to sit the bench for 3 years just to go D1. |
