Recommend a good, empathetic therapist in NW DC/Bethesda/Chevy Chase/Silver Spring

For individual therapy due to marital issues, to help me get through separation in the new year from DH who has a long history of gaslighting, short temper and aggressive. It's so hard to find someone, I've asked my Primary Care physician but she recommended someone who doesn't even take insurance. I'd like someone with a lot of experience, male or female is fine, but someone who is wise and empathetic
