| Anyone have any inputs/reviews for CENTER FOR AUTISM AND RELATED DISORDERS, LLC (https://www.centerforautism.com/) for ABA ? Thanks In Advance |
| haven't heard of it, but wow it's huge. None in DC though. Closest for me would be Columbia or Annapolis. |
| There's quite a few locations in DMV. Just like other ABA companies, HUGE turnovers of therapists. |
Not the OP, but are there ABA companies in the area with less turnover that you recommend? We’re having a hard time finding one without a long wait list for our child. |
| I would suggest putting your DC in the wait list for multiple providers. And call them to let them know you're still interested. There are usually more spots available at the beginning of the year with changes in insurance plan. |
| This was mentioned as a private placement in an FCPS meeting but only briefly, no one knew much about it (the school was in Alexandria somewhere). That's all I know. |
We're in the same boat. On some wait lists since May!! |

There's the CARD academy/school but also the typical ABA company that provides sessions at the office and home. The problem is that clients are told there's a long wait list. But in reality, because of the large turnovers and poor schedule coordination, the therapists who are staying don't have all their available hours filled. It takes a while to train new therapists, get insurance approval for new clients, match up the client and therapist availability.
If your DC is available to have sessions during school hours (9 to 2 pm), you can definitely get a spot. I found this true for ABA, OT, Speech, PT providers. |
Perhaps, broadly defined, but, as I said, none in DC. |
