Was he flirting with me ?

Anonymous
I’m really bad at reading men.

Had a problem with my computer. Guy comes to fix it. Tells a couple of corny jokes. When he’s done fixing he tells I can have his personal work line if I need more hey instead of calling the main hellp line.

Was he flirting?

Nope. How long has it been since you felt the warm touch of a man?

Not unless there’s more to the story

If he asked you for your personal line then he would be flirting. If not he's just trying to save you the hassle of going through six layers of tech support.

No. Later on he stopped by my desk to ask how my day was going I suppose he was just checking in on his work.

Anyway thanks for the answers everyone.

He was hoping you’d tip. (Money, not sex)

Well I don’t know. Possibly he is interested. In my experience guys don’t “stop by to chit chat if they aren’t at least somewhat interested and if he didn’t want to be in contact or help you further he’d let you call the help line black hole no problem in the future.

Keep talking with him. Who knows

I’m not talking to him. I assumed he was just being nice. Then I was discussing this with someone and they were like “ hey ding dong he likes you too!” Just curious.

I think he was trying to tell you he's interested. are you?

Maybe. Break your computer and call him!

In my experience, every single IT guy at work acts this way. This is good customer service in IT.

But you were there so maybe you picked up on something that you cannot really put down in words.

Computer geeks was probably overclocking having to deal with a person face to face.

Giving you his direct line is normal practice I think. Stopping by to ask how your day was going might be something else...

Not flirting. Just a good worker who wanted to save the you hassle of being transferred from person to person.

Depends what else you talked about - in my early 20s IT guy at my job was flirting and we ended up dating for a while. Indications that he was flirting: staying longer than needed while fixing my computer, asking "getting to know you" questions, talking to me while fixing my neighbors computer instead of talking to her, when there were shared snacks/treats in the kitchen delivering some to my desk
