| Capital One told me they only notarize certain documents which did not include mine so I went to UPS. $4 for the notary plus $3x2 for each witness. Is that standard? |
| That sounds totally reasonable. |
| Yes. The price is fixed I believe (at least it is in DC) and $3-5 sounds right. |
| Nothing. There are notaries at my bank. |
| Do you have any coworkers who are notaries? We pay for my coworker’s fees because it’s convenient to have someone on site. She does personal stuff for people all the time. |
Yep. I went Bank of America the last time I needed a notary |
| OK..good to know it was in line. As I said earlier, my bank would not do it. They used to but the policy has changed. |
Same here. |
Same- our bank is Presidential Bank. TD Bank does this for free- regardless if you are a customer or not. |
| $1 at my community association in columbia |
| $0 at my office, $2 at the bank. |
| Ok. Maybe it was a rip off. Never thought to try a bank that I did have an account at? Also wonder why Cap One will only do certain document types. Oh well it is done. |
| I have a license in DC and VA. I'm only allowed to charge a certain amount for each document notarized, I believe it's 2 or 5$. |
True but the hours are extremely limited. I am a customer who lives 2 blocks away from a TD bank who had to make several visits until the person showed up when she said she would. |
| My credit union does it for free. |
