Tell me how universal background checks would work. I’m not opposed to it potentially, but I need you to explain it.

Details about the very basic 2013 bill.
https://www.politifact.com/article/2013/apr/30/summary-manchin-toomey-gun-proposal/

Why would anyone oppose this? It’s arguably too benign.

I’m familiar with this, but it’s not detailed.

Would the background check be online or will both parties have to travel to a gun shop?

Will there be a cost?

Will it be instant?

The more laborious the process the less I’d support it.

Why? If it’s no more laborious than buying in a store then what’s the issue?

You think having Jones as AG would be a good thing? Really?

Absolutely. I’m totally mystified that people that don’t understand that Trump’s complete disregard for the Constitution is an imminent threat to our country. VA needs an AG that will stand up against Trump’s abuses. A republican toady as AG is not in VA’s interest.

You seem to think Jones can sue the federal government to rehire people. That's a complete waste of taxpayer money.

Does Miyares support Trump’s efforts to destroy the economy of our region? Yes. That makes him a nonstarter for me. I want an AG that will fight for the interests of Virginians, not Trump.

I wish you understand how you sound. Your rational is comical. Trump could care less about VA so its irrelevant.

Nice try, but fail. Trump wants to control every state AG and governor possible. He doesn’t want anyone to stand in his way and knows that if Miyares is elected Miyares will help overturn election results in 2026 and 2028, issue legal opinions validating deployment of National Guard troops in NoVA, erode civil rights such as the ability of women to divorce and the ability of gays to marry, among others. Democrats must win at every level.

Exactly.

Trump has no desire to infringe people’s right to divorce. Do you actually think that’s a possibility? Do you lose any sleep over these thoughts? How do you think Trump will turn election results? It is actually hardened democrat Marc Elias who brings all the lawsuits seeking to disenfranchise people.
As for gay marriage - that is something that may be at risk, but not because of Trump exactly, but because there is a case before SCOTUS that invites SCOTUS to walk back Obergefell.

"The sky is falling, the sky is falling" on repeat for 10+ years. We are all still living and breathing. Try something else except fear.

Are you the same tw@t who said that abortion was settled law?

It’s completely inconvenient for the seller.

It should be online, instant and free. Gun stores generally don’t facilitate transfers for free.

Ok, and? It seems like an extremely reasonable “inconvenience”.

What other rights in the Bill of Rights are inconvenient?

Maybe there should be mandatory counseling and transvaginal or transanal ultrasounds before any gun purchase.

NP.

He would be an absolute disaster as AG.

I’m a cop. Bans don’t apply to us. I can carry a concealed handgun n all 50 states and D.C. Even if they ban assault weapons I can still own them. I also have no magazine limit. Suppressors are legal for me too.

Apparently there is some dirt making the social media rounds among Miyares people. Not surprised. I think things are much more of a disaster than the bought and paid for media is telling us.

Ok? When should we sign you up for your counseling and ultrasound?

I passed psychological, medical and polygraph exams and a background check to get my job. My badge is my concealed carry license. I will also enjoy the same privileges when I retire thanks to LEOSA.

This is why he should not be elected. Multiple examples of reckless and inappropriate behavior.

He wasn’t doing 70 in a 65 speed zone. He believes killing his political opponent and their family is acceptable.

Yet wants to be VAs top law enforcement official.
