| It says mine is -1.5%. WTF?? Am I the only one with negative gain? |
Mine is +2.3%
|
aka "a loss"? If you have your money in a target date fund or other fund that is largely bonds, you probably lost money. The bonds sector has been terrible. |
| I think from looking at the TSP website that is the monthly return, not the last 12 month return as of Oct. |
| S&P is up 5.28% from Oct 31 2017 (2575) to Oct 31 2018 (2711). So yeah you severely underperformed — I’m guessing you have a lot in a target fund which are heavy on bonds or you separately hold a lot of G, F, or I. |
Uh it clearly says performance for past 12 months ending 10/31. |
| What is your allocation to the different funds? |
| The F fund and the I fund are the only funds to be negative over the last 12 months. Do you have a lot of int'l? |
| My TSP account is up 12.07 percent in the past 12 months. |
| I still have a positive gain for the past 12 months but I've lost some money in the last month. Looks like October was a negative hit for a lot of the funds. |
Seriously?
|
| 4.63% as o October 31 thanks to the I fund bringing it down. |
Yes. I had logged on today and reported the gain for the past 12 months. |
That’s amazing. I assume C/S funds? Are you a relatively new? |
What fund(s) are you in? None of them show anything like 10% for the year. Are you sure you aren't counting contributions too? |
