I have a long narrow face and a prominent nose and thin dark hair.
How can I style my hair for best results? |
A razor cut shag or a bob with some king of fringe to make your cheekbones pop. Layers for texture and volume.

Most women look better with short hair. Ponytails are for horses. |
Amal Clooney for Inspo. |
She has very thick hair, would not work for OP. Look up the actress Constance Zimmer, similar specs. |
I have a friend with a very long face and she looks best with waves in her hair. The length doesn’t seem to matter, but when it’s just lying straight around her face, it seems to accentuate it in a bad way. Waves seem to soften it and add width (not in a bad way). |
Not OP, but thanks for posting this! These are great! |
OP here. Thanks these are great! Also its sad but I love long straight neat hair. But it looks awful on me! Instead I have to wear my hair loose and full of volume. ![]() |
It looks awful on everyone except maybe teenagers and the waifiest cheekboniest of supermodels! I so hope long horse hair is moving out of trend, now everyone curls it the same and balayages it the same and everyone looks the same! |
OP here.
For reference I have a a long face and prominent nose like Gisele Bundchen but I have dark hair and features. ![]() She always wears her hair in long loose voluminous waves and I obviously cant go to work with hair like this: ![]() what to do? |
"now everyone curls it the same and balayages it the same and everyone looks the same!"
+1 ^^This. It is the mullet 'do of 2018! |
You sound like my mil. I love long hair and ponytails! |
Hair above shoulders, and maybe bangs. Ask your stylist about what type would suit you. |
side part, with side swept longer bangs or fringe is good, the side part offsets the forehead to chin vertical line. Some volume and hair just above shoulders (or shorter).
I have a thin face , high cheekbones and prominent nose and baby fine, straight hair. The right cut and color makes a huge difference, but I had to give up long straight hair years ago, especially as I got older and lost facial volume (I did fillers last year though which made a subtle difference--in cheek apples and a bit at the temples--but I'm 48). I can still do a sleek bob, but it has to be side part, and end just below the chin, any longer and it drags me down. |
Bangs and chin or jawline length. |
