Experience with Montessori for kids with difficulties to focus

We are thinking to send our son of ten to a Montessori School. During this five years of public school, he has not bad but some problems to focus enough in some classes (specially in math) to put all his potencial in school and be happy there. We think that for 6th grade, a small group class and the Montessori environment can help him to relax and put more attention in the areas he like more like writting, arts, science, etc.
Our only concern is that Montessori can be kind of boring for someone that have problems to stay in task and do long time in one activity. Another concern is if he will be able to motivated by himself to do work and how the teachers pussh them a little to start working.
