Can kids get the flu shot at Costco?

Anonymous
Anyone know if I could get my almost 4 y/o DS his flu shot at the DC Costco? His well visit at the ped isn't until Dec, which is when he got it last year, but I'd rather not wait that long. That said, it's rough trying to fit another visit in with work/school. Costco would be super convenient but I've heard kids have to be done by a pediatrician?

Age differs by pharmacy. The one we go to it's 9 years and older. i doubt you will find a pharmacy to do a 3 year old.

You can also do CVS minute clinic or Target.

Target will do a 4 year old? That's good to know. I need to take mine, who has a summer birthday so we can't do it a her well visit.

Just make sure it's an in store minute clinic (most of them are):

MinuteClinic® & MinuteClinic in Target stores
Our health care providers give:
Flu vaccinations to patients 18 months and older (ages 2+ in KY; ages 5+ in CT)
Senior-dose vaccines (when available) for people 65+

We always go there and get our $5 gift card.

OP here again. Costco DC only gives the flu shot to kids above 12. Which sucks because apparently the pediatrician's office is already out of them and won't be getting more.
