Pregnancy and H1N1 Vaccine

Anonymous
I was wondering if anyone had feedback on side effects, etc after having gotten the H1N1 vaccine during pregnancy. I get mixed messages depending on the person and/or doctor I talk to and then I heard something recently about the first batch not being tested properly. I am terribly nervous about getting swine flu but am also more than worried about the vaccine itself. Any information is welcome!

I have not heard of any trial results of the vaccine in pregnancy. Anecdotally, I got the H1N1 vaccine on Wednesday and feel fine. I didn't even get the sore arm I usually get from a flu shot. HTH

I got mine yesterday and also a little less sore than I was from the seasonal. Just hurt a little to sleep on that arm last night.

I'm also pregnant, and I got the seasonal flu shot and the H1N1 shot on the same day (different arms). I have to say, the seasonal flu shot arm hurt MUCH more than the H1N1 arm. And, I've had no side effects or symptoms since getting the shots.

I'm pregnant and got mine-didn't have any side effects, not even a sore arm. DC is 11 months and also got it-she seems fine.

I got mine on Thursday and definitely had less soreness then with the seasonal vaccine. Have had no symptoms so far.

Got mine (single shot in DC). No side effects 3 days later and mentally feel much better knowing I am protected!

Are you really getting mixed messages from doctors? All doctors I have spoken with or read from are on the same page - get the vax.

Same here-all the doctors I've spoken with told me to get the vaccine.
