Do you need to space out the seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccines?

If so, how many days need to elapse between them? (Sorry for the basic question--I'm a little late to this party.)

Our ped said no need to space out (except if they are both intranasal), but I plan to space them out by a week, just in case.

If WTOP is reliable, mist plus shot requires a 28 day wait. Shot plus shot requires no waiting period.

If you had seasonal mist with in the last 4 weeks---you can only get the h1n1 shot (need 4 weeks apart). If you got the seas.shot..can get the h1n1 mist right away.

If the same true if you get the H1N1 vaccine first?

yes- basically you cannot have two different mist vaccines in a 4 week period. so if you are getting both seasonal and h1n1 within 4 weeks of each other at least one will have to be an injection. There are no restrictions on 2 injected vaccines.

My suggestion----alot of mini clinics only have injectable seasonal flu. i'd go for the injected seasonal since there seems to be a shortage on the injected h1n1. since some priority groups--preg. women, immune comprimsed, etc.. can't get mist...I'd go for flumist and injected seasonal when it becomes avail. to you.
