all of your H1N1 questions -- HERE

Any chance you all would put all of the H1n1 Q's and answers into this one forum so that the rest of us don't have to sift through them all to get to something interesting? I promise I'm not trying to be a jerk - it's just that it's a topical and specific issue and probably can be rolled up into one post.

not the OP, but I have to say that all of the H1N1 posts are stressing me out. Big time.

me too! I wrote a post about that earlier today!

I think you already know you are not going to get your request, this is really just a passive aggressive way to complain. "Sifting", as you call it, is not hard. Let people discuss what's on their minds.

OK, OP, I'll bite:

I just read this artcile:

Swine Flu Vaccines Now Available On The Hill

http://www.rollcall.com/news/39750-1.html

They list the locations for Congressional employees who are at high risk to get the vaccine. Then they define at-risk as being pregnant, live with infants less than 6 months, or are under the age of 18 with a high risk condition.

Since I assume very few Congressional employees are under the age of 18, are they talking about children of those Congressional employees?

PP -- children of Congressional employees are not eligible for the vaccine. You must have a Congressional ID and sign a form certifying that you meet the criteria. Congressional Pages are under the age of 18, and there have been reports that a dozen or so are showing H1N1 symptoms (they all live in a dorm together). I am Congressional employee, and I'm looking for a county clinic, like everyone else. BTW, Congress is out of the seasonal flu vaccine, like everyone else, too.

Thanks, PP!

Do you know if Library of Congress employees count as Congressional Employees?

Holy crap, if I see one more new h1n1 question posted I think my head might explode. What do people think posting here is going to do? Reveal some secret information no one has? Perhaps make shots appear? My God people, get a grip.

OP here. There was nothing passive about it. All the swine flu posts are annoying as crap!

Hi there. So, my family has had the H1N1 for a week now. My dh, my two sons and my daughter all got it. It was mild. Fever of a 102.5 (highest) for a day or so, then after that around 101, then fell down to 99. They had a cough and mostly body aches and fatigue.

I worried most about my older son because he has mild Asthma, but watched him closely and he only had to take his inhaler once.

For whatever reason, I did not get it. Not a fever or a cough, nothing. Why? I don't know.

I guess Im posting to tell people that most of the cases out there are indeed mild. But there are those unfortunate people who have died of it or gotten gravely ill.
Should you be cautious? Of course. Should we start freaking out? Probably not.
When my first son was diagnosed with it, I asked our ped if we should keep our younger son home from school, as to not infect anyone else. He said "No, at this rate everyone is going to get it or be exposed to it so if he is showing no signs go ahead and send him to school"

I don't like it when people say, "Oh there is nothing to worry about! it's NOTHING" well, maybe so, but not everyone is the same and some of us and our children have health problems and situations that could affect us worse.
Yes, more than likely if you do get it, you'll be fine. But be cautious.

OP - I understand your point for I have a heightened sensitivity regarding H1N1 because of the numerous posts, but it might be more suitable to ask the moderator for a H1N1 forum during this health crisis. In the meantime, all it takes is for one to scroll through the different posts for relevant topics they wish to partake in.

MODERATOR - did you see this? Can you create a forum for H1N1? How is that - OP?

This is the ONLY thing on their minds. How do these anti-H1N1ers get through the day? Maybe they should hand out Paxil with each vaccination.

talk about widespread panic over nothing

ridiculous

. . . although I do admit to reading these posts b/c I find them amusing as hell
