| I am about to get a consult at sG for IVF. I have Kaiser Maryland non federal. Can someone tell me if PGD was covered? |
| depends on plan. check with them directly for an accurate response |
| Call them. Some plans will cover PGD if your genetic testing indicates it. It is unlikely anyone will cover PGS. |
|
I have Kaiser through Montgomery County Government. My evidence of coverage specifically states that PGD is covered, "If member meets medical guidelines".
Definitely see if you can get your hands on your evidence of coverage, and check everything the SGF financial counselor tells you against that. |
| This is OP. I just got my evidence of coverage and it says that infertility services do not count toward OOP maximum, this is contrary to what I am reading on this forum, but I guess Kaiser caught on and put that language in. |
|
Yeah mine says the same thing, which was also contrary to what the SGF financial counselor told me.
In practice it seemed a little random, some of my IUI costs appeared to count into my OOP maximum (you can check your Kaiser benefits statements on the website, they track your OOP spending), but none of my testing counted. |
I did a fresh cycle with using KP insurance 3 years ago and it wasn’t counted then towards OOP maximum. |
