Travis and Taylor

Also he seems like someone who gives ugly terrible jewelry gifts. But you make fun of the gift, and maybe he thinks it’s funny. And his mom agrees with you that it’s hideous.

Also, I don’t know if I could manage the whole groupie thing. Tswift doesn’t have time to be at every game. He seems like he wouldn’t entertain other ladies, but how much would they push to be by him?

I really don’t have a good feeling about this whole Travis relationship. I would really like to see Taylor paired with a cute/nerdy tech billionaire or some cute aristocrat.

If she was trying to be ironic she failed.

Travis doesn’t need that kid of publicity. He will get set up with someone that understands him and his fans.

That would be fair. A major error in judgement - totally brought on herself. You don't need to be a fan to see that.

+1. There is no way to spin this that doesn’t signal being terrible at her job.

She needs to find some non-celebrity that worships her but doesn’t need her money.

I think this is what happens in another 10 years or so.

Gross take. The QB was literally sick. Can’t pin this one on Travis.

Ok but like are any asking her out? Tech billionaires are sketchy (Elon and Google guys) and aristocrats (like a British one?) have so many identity issues. At least a football star and her work at the same place.

I find it hard to believe that he would keep that publicist. Even if her friend posted it, it was really weird for her to repost.

It's like her freind was trying to capitalize on the whole Taylor thing, that wasn't a great picture of the publicist and clearly the publicist wasn't the center of the picture, and everyone immediately recognized that it was Taylor -- how could you not.

This may even lead to Taylor/Travis fight.

However, I really dislike that photo of her kissing his cheek. Like I had a viscerally negative reaction to it. It is VERY "high school cheerleader kissing the star player after the homecoming game." I mean she is even dressed like a high school cheerleader, with a pleated mini skirt and everything. But she's a 33 year old super successful billionaire who is way more powerful and famous than her boyfriend. I don't know, I just didn't like it. Glad she's happy but the "footballers wives" vibe of the photo just feels beneath her to me. She's not a groupie.

But it's one photo, it's not a reflection of either of them as people or their relationship. I didn't like it but it's actually dumb I'm even looking at a photo of these people and dissecting it to this degree (I can admit it!) so whatever.

It appears that he is going to be very present and into it when she goes back on tour. I think this is just her doing her part for him. The guys she's dated in the past haven't been very supportive or present at her concerts, and whether this relationship is real or not, they are showing that they will support each other's careers. I guess we'll see how he acts at her concerts, but I have a feeling he will put on a similar show.

I agree that he will most likely attend when he can, but just wanted to point out out that Matty Healy was at all of her shows while dating. In fact he performed with Phoebe/ opening acts when I was there in Philly.

That is remarkable to me. I would never, ever want to attend all the concerts of my partner. Like nunca.

How is this any different than attending a football game? Also, her parents attend all of her concerts just like his parents attend his/brother’s games. Their families are very much alike in many ways.

I'm the PP you're asking. Why would the answer to your question matter at all? I'm not talking about football games or parents.

But it is. It’s about supporting someone you care about.

If I had to watch my kid every week perform the same recital over and over I would stop going at a certain point unless I had no other life or job of my own. Even then, I would also ask if they felt they were ready to grow and explore other instruments, types of dances etc. I would do this in the name of supporting my child and teaching the value of new experiences helping them explore and know themselves well.

You’d be more supportive if your kids recital grossed more one billion.

+1

No one wants to watch your 4th grader’s dance recital over and over again. That is not the same as Taylor Swift. And I’m pretty sure Taylor is experiencing more of the world that most of us as she travels around in her jet. But keep telling yourself you wouldn’t go watch your billionaire child in concert but instead encourage them to ‘value new experiences’. You sound ridiculous.

Some one said Taylor’s parents go to all the concerts just to be supportive. Doing anything over and over again takes away the “OMG! It is TAYLOR.” Aspect of anything and brings out ennui. This is their KID, they aren’t going to enjoy the show, that would be boring after the 78th time.

The Swifts go and get traveling, hotels, and private jets as part of the corporation. THAT is what the parents are going for, not to be “supportive” and rewatch their dear daughters recital. They are getting a whole lot more than being supportive out of the relationship.

And yeah, if my kid were Taylor, I would be concerned that the perfectionist in her is winning because she is taking zero risks in her concerts and not taking risks isn’t a good thing.

You make it seem like Taylor’s parents are leeches. Maybe Taylor wants to take care of her parents and let them live a lavish lifestyle. They had a lot to do with her success. Do you fault the Kelce brothers for having their mom in private suites for games? Beyoncé for lavishing her mom with gifts and trips? Some people like to take care of their parents. I would if I had 800 million dollars.

You have lost sight of the fact that they are just people.
And people have different wants and needs. A poster said she wouldn’t want to go to her partners concerts and people jumped on her.

What happened to supporting ALL women- even women who want to Netflix and chill?

Thank you, PP! Who knew people would go nuts because I said I would not want to attend every show!?

you dont get that he won two superbowls? Or that he's averaging 99 yards a game as a tight end?

He can’t average anything if someone doesn’t throw him the ball.

So this does not really exist. And is not in her future. In either she would be overtaken. While this match would not pop into people's heads, Travis is perfect for her. He has his own money; his own brand; his own stuff to do. All of that is key for someone like her.

What are you talking about? He is one of the top players in the NFL.

Yes, but there is a huge CLASS difference between the two. I think it may be fun and exciting for a while, but in the end Travis is just too “rough around the edges” for Taylor.

Whelp, the movie and the album are out.

Before they were out, we saw TS at football games, on SNL, out with friends in LA, out with TK in NYC and KC…

Now? She’s disappeared. Nothing to promote beyond a 1989 special edition cardigan.

I like how he tried to be the protective partner on their date. He doesn't realize the crazy amount of fans she has and some crazy ones too. I would keep all the body guards around. Don't think you alone can protect her.

She sure goes around. Usually by the time they post she is breaking up, she's on with someone else.
