WWYD? Groceries delivered to wrong address and kept by neighbor

yeah, this. I've done this before, though initially I didn't know it was a wrong order since we also order from the same store. I called the store and they said keep it because they can't redeliver it. I believe they sent a new delivery to the person it was for.

This has happened a lot in our complex. For health reasons, they can’t take it back and they will replace it at no extra charge. I’ve never kept misdelivered food, but there’s nothing illegal or unethical about doing so.

OP, if you don't want to knock-and you are under no obligation to if you are not comfortable doing so-contact Whole Foods and get a refund/redelivery.

While I want to say...I would have knocked and inquired politely, I am also thinking that these people obviously knew it was not their food and did not deliver it over to you (which I think most people would). That and the fact that you will get a redelivery might make me just choose that option.

As has been established there are no names or addresses on Whole Foods delivery bags

On a warm day, good Samaritans would take it into their home (assuming they didn’t erroneously believe their spouse had ordered the food).

Folks - life will be easier for you if you assume the best about people.

Just contact WF - tell them you did not receive the food - they will either refund or resend.

It really isn’t a big deal!

This happened to us yesterday'. $100.00 worth of food for a two and four year old for the week which included 2 gallons of milk, 2 fallons of apple juice etc. The neighbor lives two doors down and as it was a Walmart delivery, our last name and address on every bag. The neighbor made zero attempt to tell us what happened, she just kept the groceries that magucally appeared on her doorstep. Had this been me, I would have taken every bag to my neighnor. Walmart refunded the money but not for two business days. Because of this the children had little to eat as this was all the money we had at the time. I try to look at it as a bkessing to my neighbor and mot let it get me upset but hinestly, I am more than put out about the whole deal. The ultimate blame goes to the delivery driver for not foing their job but still. I am disabled and cannot drive so grocert delivery has been a Godsend. Very disappointed.

This happened to me recently - I just asked for a redelivery and a new fresh order came within the hour.

WWYD-I'd knock and thank them for refrigerating or keeping dry my groceries. If the outdoor temperature was warm and there were obvious perishables like fish/milk, yes I'd put a note on my side door and bring in into a cooler. Yes, I'd approach (not angrily confront) them. Chill-they were most likely keeping it from rain and spoilage.

Reasons why I am always home when Amazon fresh delivery my groceries.
The driver always get my apartment number mixed up somehow. I just meet the driver outside and get my groceries. I got tired my neighbor keeping my delivery. People are truly dishonest.
