For instance, in that scenario, states like Mississippi and Texas go blue based on fairly thin evidence (Espy within 1% of Hyde-Smith, and I posit that if he wins, that means he drove turnout for Biden/Harris, too). Basically any state that has had one decent poll for the Democrats or whispers of going blue, I turn blue.

I don’t know how to post it and it’s not reality based, but it’s sure nice to look at.

Lol, no, not quite that optimistic.

My blue states include: Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, North Carolina, Georgia (which seems highly unlikely but I think there was a poll that had Biden neck and neck with Trump), Montana, and then more likely ones like Wisconsin, Arizona and Nevada, plus all the purple states like Ohio and Florida.

The plural of anecdotes is not data.

Exactly. If you look at the data, Democrats swept every statewide race in 2018. Tammy Baldwin kept her Senate by over 10 points. Biden is leading in the polls by almost 7 points. The democratic governor's approval rating is 20 points above Trumps in the state.

I didn't pick IA as turning blue, but I see a number of people are. I wonder if the Senate race will help turn? Something I didn't factor.

I agree with this map except I think AZ stays red. I just hope Mark Kelly wins.

NC may turn blue because Dems winning Senate and Governors seats for sure.

This seems most likely to me, swapping AZ and NM here.

NM is a solid blue state. Has been for many cycles.

What would be the maps where Trump wins? (I am asking just because I need to gird myself...)

Anonymous wrote:How do you know Texas might go blue? The Republicans are spending an absolute FORTUNE on glossy, expensive, action movie ads. Do you think this is the kind of ad people put out when they''re "safe"? This thing must have cost millions.

Also, Republicans are suing other Republicans to stop an extension of early voting. This doesn't happen when Texas Republicans think they're safe. I think the state is going blue for Biden, not necessarily for the rest of the ballot though they're afraid down ballot because people might just blue all the way down because of Trump. He's distasteful.

Is is really that desperate ?

As a proud resident of the great state of New Mexico, a solid blue state, I accept your apology.
