Nancy Pelosi is the best dressed politician ever

I have seen people suggesting that if you pump your face full of fillers, get porn star size boobs, show a lot of cleavage or wear tiny miniskirts, or wear makeup like a real housewife that you won’t be taken seriously. I’ve also seen post opining that the women who think women who don’t get regular manicures are “nasty” are not friends to feminism.

But I don’t think anyone has ever posted that a professional woman should show up to work looking like the mom on Dharma and Greg.

I can assure you that that claim has been made many, many a time here. (I think the ones making that claim think women should be as close to mannish as stylistically possible, not as hippieish as possible.)

I'm guessing that she has it done professionally almost every day. It does look good. So many women dye it too dark or go too blonde. Hers is just right.

Agreed. That color hair does not come out of a box of home hair dye. Her hair is colored and then highlighted or something. That is not a one step process.

But good luck finding a stylist who can get that look right. There is a reason that costs $$$$.

Oh my gosh, this is #goals! I,shine looking this fabulous at 79?

I respect her formula when it comes to the white shell and pearls. Having a few tried and true pieces makes dressing so much faster when you’ve got sh!t to do.

Impeccable. Definitely #goals. Forget the 21 year old #goals Instagrammers, this is how it's done.

I've always been team hose for businesswear and I'm early 30s. Would find it odd for an almost 80 year old to forgo them like I feel odd in a full suit with bare legs. They help a lot and make a non issue out of things like paleness, varicose veins, sun damage, loose skin, etc.bring back the hose!

She is beautiful. Bird-like bones. And she does seem to have an excellent tailor.

Andre Chreky's salon caters to the crowd who gets this sort of color when past age 55. The color is a combo of high and low lights on a base color. They're great at giving you the right cut and color combo. But you have to go every 3-4 weeks for color touch ups at the roots, and they'll shame you for letting your cut get out of control. Yes, it costs money and takes time. And clearly, it's worth it if you want to look great.

I guess this is your first time reading the Beauty and Fashion forum??? About two weeks ago there was a thread with lots of women convincing one another that going gray before you're completely gray, as in walking around with random straggling crooked gray hair, is a good idea. The visible nipple thing is the one that gets me. Those of us who think you need to take action if they're popping out at work are told to accept that women's bodies have nipples and just deal with it. I don't think Nancy would ever ever ever go out without proper nipple coverage. And really, it doesn't take anything more than spending $10 for some shields that you slip into your bra.

I dye my hair but I’m in my mid 30s and 95% of it is my natural color still. I think at 70+ she would look much better keeping her ngray/white hair with a glaze or demi to tone the natural gray to the pretty glistening shade in the gray/silver/white/ash family. It is obvious there is not a brown hair on her head. The texture of her hair screams gray. Eventually you get to an age when you need to work with nature instead of fighting it. Old women with brown dyed hair never look great no matter how many high and low lights get put in and money you throw at it.

Walking in those heels in your 70s... how does she do it?

Well, several pages worth of people disagree with you.

SHE overall looks great and her clothes are amazing, but her hair...looks old and dyed frequently. I guess because it is!
