Similarities between trump and hitler

Okrent talks about the parallel between the xenophobia of the early 20th century and President Trump's hard-line stance today". He also spoke about how Hitler drew parallels between his desire to make Germany pure and America's attempts to keep "unwanted immigrants" from entering the country through its restricted immigration Act of 1924.

I hope Trump and his supporters don't take us back to the eugenics era of 1920s and bring back the old restricted Immigration Act into force.

It's pretty ironic that after the immigration restrictions were lifted in after WW2 and immigrants flowed back into the U.S., our country underwent its greatest period of innovation and widespread prosperity in its history.

Nuts, right?

The current Republican stance on immigration is explicitly modeled on the 1924 immigration act. It was the inspiration for Sessions, Bannon, and Miller who fed it to Trump. There is a radio clip somewhere or another of Sessions and Bannon lauding the Immigration Act of 1924 and saying that's what we should seek to emulate and we've had people on this board say similar.

Trump’s much more a self promoter than an ideologue. Attributing a grand vision to him is delusional.

True, Trump just says what gets him adulation but what he is saying is the ideology of white supremacy/white genocide/race suicide via Sessions and Bannon.

Can you say that in English please? I don’t speak batshit victim, so I’m not exactly sure what your point is.

So interesting how OP and the other hysterics chose to leave this part out:
“We need to defend our country. You have people pouring in," he told Hannity. "Now, we're capturing these people, we're getting them. But we don't do like other countries. Other countries stand there with machine guns ready to fire. We can't do that, and I wouldn't want to do that."

Honestly, this is a disgusting thread and I can’t believe it hasn’t been deleted.

I absolutely agree. It should be deleted, and the fact that is hasn't been - many hours later - speaks volumes.

Go to Gab if you can't handle the truth.

Never heard of Gab. I imagine it's an antisemitic site. Strange how you know of it.

And you're being protected here in your echo chamber. That's why you're blind to the truth, which is that Democrats are enabling antisemitism.

Yes, it is an antisemitic site. But, it is very pro-Trump, so you wouldn't see threads like this there. (Well, maybe you would, but it would be in a complimentary tone.) Or, you can be here, where anti-Semitism is not tolerated, but most people hate Trump.

Hm, lets put that in perspective: Antisemitic site, pro-Trump. Non-antisemitic site, anti-Trump. Which do you choose?

You must be joking. This is a very antisemitic site, courtesy of liberals. It’s so blatant, there’s no way it could be interpreted otherwise.

We all wish it weren't true, but sadly it is, and the comparison is justified. You're thinking about gas chambers and killing 6 million Jews. We haven't come to that, and probably won't, but Nazi propaganda started in exactly the same way the Trump administration is talking about Mexicans, Muslims, and other groups today. We are talking about a similar direction, and that in itself is dangerous.

I’ll be sure to let the folks who still bear Nazi tattoos that you feel their suffering is being used to trash someone you don’t like

White genocide is the term used now and racial suicide the term used in the 1920s by white supremacists for the notion that the Nordic race (meaning northern Europeans) are intellectually and culturally superior and that allowing inferior races (1920s: Italians, Spanish, Chinese,... 2010s: Hispanic, Muslim, African,..) into the country will result in the dilution of the superior race and the crumbling of white European American society.

I'm sorry you think history is batshit.

And he talks about how it would be more effective to shoot them. But we can't give border patrol guns. People wont let him.

I will completely acknowledge he's giving himself cover while encouraging the crazies to shoot immigrants.

Exactly. Plus, if Americans were as terrible as Nazis, why are people flooding our borders? Wouldn't there be a mass exodus?

I wish we could have a thread discussing THAT.

And honestly, I thought with the problems the liberals are having with antisemites on their side that they'd realize they lost standing to make the ridiculous Hitler comparison. But they're too arrogant to see it. Or dumb.

It really doesnt bother you that today's immigration rhetoric was fashioned by men who follow the same ideas that inspired Hitler?

Hitler took all the guns; Dems want to take away all the guns
Hitler destroyed political opposition; Dems want to destroy political opposition

Well, I came on here to do similarities between Hitler and trump but all the similarities lie with Hitler and democrats.

Not true.
Trump is revoking press passes as we speak.
Most Dems don’t.
The GOP systematically tries to cut down Ds. Gerrymandering. Removing governor powers for incoming D governor. Etc. etc.

You are projecting, methinks.
