They won't accept your friend's check bc shopping at costco is a paid/member privilege.

Just have your friend reimburse you. You'll be in for a bigger rebate at the end if the year.

I’ve never gotten a rebate at the end of the year. Details, please!

You need the executive membership. Our rebate always covers the membership fee.

It's cheating Costco and its members.

Read the rest of thread, Costco actually lets you do this and bring up to 2 guests per visit. The friend just needs to pay the member back for the purchases.

So many picky, easily offended rule maker-uppers and judgey people here.

These people are crazy. It’s normal to want to see what they have before joining it’s fine op. Sorry so many crazies.

Yep. I'm a stickler about not cheating stores by returning things not purchased there (unless you are up front about it, and they agree), but this is fine.

The difference is that you don't have to hide what you are doing. Costco has determined that this is in their best interest, and they explicitly permit it.

When I had a membership and use to bring a friend they were allowed to pay with cash, check or s debit card. There was no need for subterfuge... you are allowed to bring a guest with you. Costco makes my bey off of the sales volume much like Walmart... geez people you are so uptight and strange!

THIS

Costco openly allows this - it’s not a big deal. Guess either pays with cash or reimburses you

Sock puppet or both need to learn English.

Stop embarrassing yourself. Costco allows this. Unless you own Costco your opinion means zilch.

Oh geez. My husband has a card, and we have diode rent last names. I go with him, and pay with my visa. Now we share Visa cards, but didn’t before we were married, and it was no big deal to put my things on one purchase with my Visa, and his on another
