That's not what that phrase means, and you know it.
Gary is really bad, and apparently Indianapolis doesn't rank well, either.
Those who sell them their guns do, or they bring them in. |

This was in the letters to the editor of today's Washington Post describing an effort to amend the DC Youth Rehabilitation Act.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/second-chances-more-harm-than-good/2016/12/07/e40e3a70-bbcd-11e6-ae79-bec72d34f8c9_story.html?utm_term=.9415109b2b58 "My residents and I are no longer willing to tolerate the status quo. We are drafting legislation limiting the Youth Rehabilitation Act to nonviolent offenses. No longer will individuals convicted of rape, kidnapping, armed robbery, aggravated assault and other violent offenses be given a lesser sentence simply because of their age..." "- K. Denise Rucker Krepp, Washington The writer is Advisory Neighborhood Commission 6B10 commissioner." |
Maybe they could join ISIS. Instead of trying to civilize them, send them to the other barbarians. |
And the 2 other letters slammed the Wash Post for writing the article: We encourage our fellow residents to reject stone-throwing and instead unite to find meaningful solutions to ensure the safety and liberty of all D.C. residents. William H. Lamar IV, Washington Stone throwing? DC called a real gun IMITATION to give this perp a break. Meaningful solution? This crime life has become a culture for some. |
Pastor of Metropolitan AME comes out in favor of status quo. Shocking. |
Did the lead affect your ability to spell "predator"? But I'll nevertheless assume that your home is better maintained than most public or Section 8 housing where flaking paint or antiquated piping is an issue that affects development. By the way, lead wasn't banned as a paint additive until 1978. Your racist asshole routine isn't clever. |
There has been a lot of legislation to address what you describe PP. That is good legislation. This thread is discussing poor legislation: Giving lighter penalties to violent criminals due to their age. Repeatedly. Sometimes 4-5 times. |
|
Those mostly black repeat offenders are killing mostly other blacks, so who cares?
If neither our black Mayor nor black President care, why should we? |
Gee, where do we think all these cheap and readily-obtainable guns are coming from? Not our "black Mayor" nor our "black President." We don't expect you to care because you're just another deplorable who is incapable of thinking beyond the color of someone's skin. |
| These are not exclusively gun crimes. The title of the thread is addressing the anomaly of the ones that are gun crimes being bargained down to "imitation" gun charges (in a city that prides itself on gun control). These crimes include carjackings, assault, home invasions, stabbings, street robberies -some committed with guns, others with fists, knives, actual imitation guns and even a brick against the head (of a postal worker). |
Very funny, it's the guns who are magically killing people. Deplorable is stupid you and stupid criminals. I'm just a law abiding citizen. Sorry to hear your parents neglected you, leaving you in such sorry state. |
Scalia and his buddies at the NRA ensured that there can't be real gun control, so can we stop with the BS? |
Isn't it time for bed? Did you finish your homework and brush your test before logging off InfoWars? |
Obviously you have a legitimate concern about lead based paint. But it may be a bit racist or classist of you to assume that all youth who commit crime were raised in public housing or in housing whose landlords accept section 8 vouchers. |
| It's incredibly insulting to assume that youth raised in poverty turn to crime. Many, many parents are able to raise fine kids who work hard in school and stay out of trouble, despite low income and/or living in public housing. |
