I think it is fine for a kid to have a twin bed as long as they live at home and that goes a long way in making the room usable.

"Fine"? I had a twin bed until I was 30.

How tall are you?

The difference in length between a twin and a full is either one inch, or zero inches depending on the source you consult.

The difference between a twin and a queen is five inches.

Most adults can sleep in a twin bed, length-wise.

Our sons bedroom is 9x9 and he’s fine. He’s in middle school. Fits twin bed,
Small dresser, small desk. He usually plays outside in the yard, plays basketball at the park, or Nintendo/movies with friends in the basement. Depends on what other spaces you have for
Them.

i think it is small, but you can make the most of it by getting furniture that fits the needs of that space for that kid. even a small dorm room can be outfitted to maximize the space.

put in a closet organizer. use every bit of that space. you wont need a dresser in the room if you address clothes storage in the closet.

bed with drawers.

etc.
