Renovations -- what do you wish you had done/what do you regret doing?

We put in an exhaust fan that also had a heater. So much better than radiant floors. You get out of the shower and stand under the warm air.

OP, no built in speakers. They will date rapidly and speakers now are getting better and smaller.

Speakers are pointless. You can get a great wireless speaker and discreetly place it somwhere in the room.

No, they won't. I'm in technology and would never use wireless speakers. Why use wireless when wired is so much more reliable?

Agreed, wireless is second best for applications when you can't/don't want to wire. If you can wire in speakers to a central place where you can put an equipment rack to contain whatever is the latest and greatest (e.g., Sonos, though full disclosure I'm less than thrilled with mine, I'd be happy with an ipod hooked up physically), you should do that.

We haven't had a landline in 15+ years. Just built a new house. Didn't wire for voice at all (aside from cat 5), but we did pull speaker wire.

These are not on your list, but the two things I regret not doing in our renovation are replacing the builder-grade toilets and interior doors with nicer toilets and solid doors.

I loooooove our bidet toilet seat. Like, so much.

Anyone do a corner pantry between sink and stove range? Any thoughts ? Hate it? Space saver? How is it cooking in that space?

We stayed at a resort with one of those electric toilets. Most was lost on me. Except the heated seats. I swear, when it’s time to upgrade, I’m totally putting in a heated-seat toilet in the master bath. Not even kidding.

All in all, it was way cheaper and easier to buy a whole house sonos system for $1500. Sound quality works great for us.
