They can look better than "mom jeans"
I'm in and out of car all day as sahm of three kids with activities, etc. I wear lululemon with a long top, jacket or sweater. I think they hold their shape and look sleek. Jeans can stretch out or be constricting. I'm comfortable and flexible. Plus black looks good with everything. I also often wear black leggings and boots with tunics for the same reason. |
I work from home full time. I wear yoga pants because they are comfortable. What else am I supposed to wear to essentially sit around the house all day (in front of a computer but still), take the dog out for a walk and maybe run to CVS or the grocery store. If I am going out doing anything else I put on real clothes but you might see me in yoga pants running errands and walking the dog. |
+1 Another full time WAH mom. WTF should I wear alone in my office attic? I also leave to hit the gym and grocery store, school pick up and drop off. If I am going somewhere real I put on some clothes. Whole Foods doesn't exactly require formal attire. |
You think you look good but you are not seeing what people see from the back when you walk. Woman in parking lot of grocery store with large behind shaking up and down, clearly no panties and not a pretty sight. Don't look you say. Ya I'll walk into a car just to avoid looking at this woman directly in line with my vehicle. Why should I care? For the same reason people expect others to say thank you or please, it is called common respect for others in society. |
I wear them because they're easy to get on and the legs are wide enough to go comfortably over my leg braces. Judge if you will. ![]() I know they don't look great but quite honestly I don't feel anything looks good anymore so I might as well be comfortable. I used to love jeans, now they're too restricting. |
Thank your wife for me. Nothing like staring at a hot piece of ass while I'm out running errands! |
Oh America. You are just a country of slobs.

People in DC can be so mean spirited! I had no idea. |
Not all yoga pants are super tight. I have tighter legging style pants that I wear for running but not for anything other than that.
My yoga pants have a slightly wider leg and aren't super tight. I need to lose 10 pounds but I really don't think I look bad in them. Also in winter, if I have a shirt that covers my hips, these pants are no more revealing than any other pant. |
Meh. As far as I'm concerned, people can wear whatever they want. But just know that 90% of the women who wear yoga pants everywhere have bodies that don't look good in those yoga pants or at least not nearly as good as they think they look. It's up to you if you want to wear something that isn't particularly flattering on your body, but I think the majority of those who wear yoga pants everywhere should probably rethink what they want unless they care about comfort and really don't care what anyone around them thinks. |
So now, they don't want women to be comfortable? Close your eyes, if it us too offensive. I ain't donning jeans in this weather |
Because they're comfortable. Because I'm running errands and crawling around on the floor with my toddler. Because I can't stand judgmental b!tches and it helps weed them out. Because I don't care what randoms at the grocery store think of my wardrobe. Because I spent too many years suffering through commutes and long days in suits and high heels to be shamed into wearing uncomfortable clothing at this stage in my life. Because I love them. The only way I might possibly consider wearing them with a little less frequency is if all other pants/jeans were made with a maternity bellyband. |
