I have a donut in my purse

Everyone knows cupcakes are pretentious bitches. Doughnuts know how to party.

Please. Go into a cupcake shop and you see nicely dressed people (like in Lilly Pulitzer skirts and Nantucket reds). You don't see that at Dunkin Donuts. Donuts are for blue collar workers. You might as well have stuffed tickets to the monster truck rally in your purse. That's what donuts say about you.

I go to Dunkin Donuts for the coffee, really.

PP here. I've always wondered what I was missing after 20 years purse-free. This thread has been so enlightening.

Oh no, not you again. You are the one who always trolls all the posts and turns them into a class war. Poor people walk into donut shops too. All walk of life. Stop the hate- because that never looks classy on anyone!

I meant cupcake shops too. ^ Gah. You get the point.

Nothing beats their vanilla and chocolate creme filled ones. The rest are just okay, but their creme filled ones rock.

Yuck! I'm sorry, but I love right near a wonderful bakery. I have very low standards and will eat pretty much anything if it has enough sugar. I went to DD to get donut holes for ds bay party. We almost didn't even eat them. They were horrible.
I think I have been spoiled by our bakery.
Yum

I will possibly be willing to agree that the Munchkins at DD are not the best. Often tasteless.

However, I would definitely recommend returning and trying some of their actual donuts. As in their chocolate creme filled. Or, their pumpkin donut, during the fall! It is deliciously pumpkiny.

Cupcakes are so much harder to eat. Make a huge mess at my desk at work. Doughnuts, on the other hand, can be neatly enjoyed on a napkin without any worries of frosting on my phone.

Also, what's with the frilly dresses the cupcakes are forced to wear? I like my dessert NAKED, tyvm.

Nothing beats the fresh doughnuts at the farmer's market. Falls Church, since someone will ask.

When I first moved here, someone recommended the cinnamon sugar cake donuts at the Apple House in Linden.

I never made it out there, but maybe this fall will result in a trip.

Every Friday I allow myself one sugary treat. This Friday's treat might be a donut. Very chocolatey. Before I read this thread, my focus was on a brownie. Very chocolatey. DCUM has changed my mind. I'm not sure that's a good thing.

I don't really like donuts, but this thread made me smile like crazy. And yet, I kind of crave a donut right now for some reason...

Were it a euphamism, what would it be a eumphamism for? My imagination is starting to work on this riddle.

Euphemism.[b]

and, they maybe lower in calories. Actually, they are lower in calories than most of the crappy baked goods sold at coffee shops like scones, giant muffins, etc.
