I’m sorry, but you have some ignorance on the subject. Some people are so allergic to shellfish that they can’t have any food cooked on the same area. Typically restaurants can assure you there will not be cross contamination but for a seafood restaurant like legal seafood they don’t typically have a separate area for cooking meat because that’s not their specialty.

Neither OP nor the allergy alarmists want to address what happens when they go to another restaurant and shellfish are ordered and consumed. And prepared in the same kitchen. If that's not a problem then why is the seafood restaurant? OP only had a mild issue once when she ate crab dip unknowingly.

I'm vegetarian, so most restaurant menus are limited for me. I still manage to find something and enjoy the company. Those kinds of dinners are less about food and more about the company.
