I need to know. What the hell is a "Dapper Day" cosplay wedding? |
What was the topic ? |
|
My moms friends, all wealthy ladies, each gave us a personalized Christmas ornament (think Hallmark). Not my style at all and they must have coordinated the gifts!
SIL gave us a cookbook of convenience recipes (like, just open three cans) when I'm actually a pretty good scratch cook. Aunt and uncle gave us some wine glasses that they got for free from their retirement broker. The note was in the box. We had a registry with lots of cheap items at Bed Bath and Beyond since we were mid 20s with nothing, but people love to go rogue. |

A huge white turkey sized platter with cherubs formed around it.

lol! |
My thoughts exactly. We had a few people not give us gifts at all. I am still glad they were there to celebrate with us! |

Bonus points if you’re Jewish or Muslim

| This is why I give money. |
| A few obviously re-gifted things. One was a heavy, ornate ceramic cake plate/stand from Williams Sonoma, another was a very obviously aged (like, from the early to mid 90s judging by the packaging but we got married in 2009) but still unused in original packaging pressure cooker. These were brought, wrapped, to our wedding by various guests. Not shower gifts. |
I'm dying to know the topic! It must be something like military history to encompass so many books that a bulk pickup would be needed to take them all away! |
Nope. That's why this thread is so popular. That tells me you have no class. |
They had a registry, moron. |
Holy shit that is so unbelievably rude. I'd never talk to them again. |
