If you don't have notification settings adjusted so this doesn't interrupt you, that's your L. Both ParentVue and your phone are adjustable. You can even find walkthroughs and how-tos on youtube.

I just tried to reply STOP to the McPS message that came at 6:38 and received a message back saying that I would need to leave the school, I would be removed from all the classes, and would miss important messages form the school and teachers.
I want to block texts from McPS central which are redundant, useless and not relevant but still get messages from the school and teachers. Is that not possible?

Btw my ParentSquare settings show I have not enabled text notifications, yet I have gotten 4 texts from them in the last 2 days

Nope, you don't even need to download an app. Just go to parentsquare.com and log in with the email address MCPS has for you. Then you can set your notification preferences.

It looks like ParentSquare actually doesn't allow you to block text notifications that relate to "School Alerts" (even from MCPS central office and not from your school". It looks like MCPS staff is sending general unnecessary nonspecific messages as "school alerts" that parents are forced to receive as text messages. Great job team!

Can anybody share if they have successfully been able to stop text notifications for messages from MCPS such as the one titled "Kicking Off a Great Year in MCPS with New Energy" and which app they did it in?
