I would modify the current guideline of having 28/29 kids in an ES class to something more manageable, iike 23/24. And I think the MS guideline is 34 kids in a class--bringing that down to 27/28 would help.
If you look at the DCPS board, people are calling it "crazy" to have a ES class of 30 kids, whereas in MCPS it happens all the time, even though we're supposed to be the "superior" school district. |
