It is possible atheists may have driven away thin-skinned Christians who cannot answer their valid questions. Atheists are not stupid people. They have reasons for their unbelief, and chicken Christians who don’t know their Bible is one of those reasons.

Because people I love dearly have been harmed by the perpetuation of a belief system and the indoctrination of said belief system. Because there are people the world over that are harmed.

It’s not that surprising when you understand how threatening it is for someone with entrenched beliefs to hear that others don’t believe the same thing that you do. The psychology of it IS fascinating though.

NP -- I don't need to convert people. No one converted me. If I had had more information sooner though, I would have left religion sooner. This RELIGION forum is a place to provide all kinds of info about religion, not just that you should believe in something supernatural. Believing in the supernatural is only one aspect of religion.

I’m an atheist who posts here regularly and usually I’m in agreement with the Christians.

Most of the atheists who post here often are quite ignorant, poorly read and intolerant. I wish they would go away or at least post more intelligent comments.

Science often contradicts the Bible because modern science didn't start to unfold until long after the Bible was written. The Bible is not science and is not meant to be science. It is a group of stories written long ago, before modern science existed.

Do you also get belly laughs when your doctor diagnoses you or a loved one with a serious disease and tells you how it can be cured? That is the result of science - not the Bible.
