It is not just these poor people in Texas including these poor children that are being put at risk by these catastrophic weather events. It is all of us including you.

The ship has sailed on slowing or preventing climate change. We voted to pretend it's not happening. But it is happening and the evidence is all around us.

All you can do now is try to mitigate the danger to your family and other families. There is nothing pathological about paying attention to that.

And I guarantee it's never going to physically harm some fat cat like Trump and his billionaires profiting from denying it. He will just leave you behind and go somewhere safe when the going gets rough.

This is why democrats support funding the NWS, NOAA, and programs to feed and educate children. It is in fact MAGA and the GOP who are pro-children dying or starving. Some areas are considered to be much more of a climate refuge than others. And you can be sure every billionaire has access to property in a climate refuge.

Nobody’s gleeful? I see plenty of Republicans gleeful over putting a cosplay clown like Noem in charge of disaster response, I see plenty of Republicans gleeful about gutting the weather service and other critical federal functions so that billionaires can get huge tax cuts, I see plenty of gleeful republicans who are more than happy to turn a blind eye to two dozen Texans dying in flash flooding if it means more coal, oil and gas money rather than cleaner, renewable technologies that would help with the weather crisis. I am so disgusted with Republicans right now.
